Welcome to New Jersey!

Some of the people that might read this blog will find this offensive. I think it was absolutely hysterical! A little addition to what my home state is like.

Too Painful...

Recently the economy has been in....well, the crapper! The economy is a cyclical thing, for the unlearned, that means it runs in cycles. Some parts of the cycles are good (economic prosperity), some are ok (recession), some are really bad (depression). Right now we're facing an economic crisis, which could be a depression. It's filled with speculation, credit issues, mortgage failures. AIG, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and on and on it goes.

What the current economic situation needs is more stimulus. There have been some critics of the $600 dollars we got earlier this year, but there were some mixed signs. In addition to this we're talking about underwriters going under. It's not a very good situation, but what we don't need is the current Democratic tax plan.....MORE! I understand that the results of which would go to newer and supposedly better programs, but things are not immediate. Rome wasn't built in a day!

The Republicans aren't really bringing much to the table. One party says more tax, one says less tax, that's what they're always going to do, they're politicians. The other thing that the government shouldn't be doing is bailing companies out. Even though the government created them, they shouldn't be bailed out. When government bails out companies, they now put the taxpayer at the helm of the disaster. Where does government get their money? Us! What are they using? Our money!

Enough Already!

Watch the first two minutes of this clip....terrible!

Bill Maher has definitely out done himself....I was listening in my car the other day to Andrew Wilkow (very common sense approach to everything, on Sirius Satellite, Patriot Channel). He was where I first heard about Maher and his non-sense on the attack of the Palin situation. The nonsense with attacking family and children has got to stop! Maher has definitely crossed a line, nothing new to him obviously!

Just let go...

A colleague of mine at work today mentioned that when I speak, I'm on the cusp of getting to what I feel. Maybe he's right, maybe I've restricted what I feel in my heart of hearts!! So with that theory we'll see what happens this coming Sunday!! Hope you enjoyed your staying with us on this NFL Kickoff Sunday!!!!

Vice Presidential Candidate Gov. Sarah Palin (AK) Speech

Sixty Days

Today most of the Southeast, the Mid-Atlantic, and a touch of New England prepare to get some rain and some wind from Tropical Storm Hanna. It's Friday for everyone, and for those of us that have weekends off, we are thankful this day comes around once a week. Today is also another mark in the political realm....sixty days until Election Day.

Hard to believe that it's only a short time until we pick the next leaders of the free world. Hard to believe that it's going to be November in that short time as well. I don't know about you, but this campaign has seemed to be going on forever!

It will surely be interesting to see what's going to happen in the next sixty days, I know that Obama is visiting the Jersey shore this weekend for two fund raisers. While personally, I don't like what he stands for, I do wish he had better weather! (See, that's being fair!!)

Why haven't I talked a lot about the DNC? Well, the reason being is that I just couldn't watch it, I just couldn't come to grips with myself to listen to any of it. I respect what the candidates stand for, the message they are trying to preach, but it's just not the way I view politics. They seem to want to make government larger, and that's just not the way things should be done.....in my opinion.

Tomorrow we will be broadcasting live from a soggy New Jersey, it is a special day and time, so please make note of it. We are hoping not to have technical difficulties, let's hope Hanna cooperates!

"To serve the people..."

Last night the honorable Governor Palin of Alaska delivered her acceptance speech. She stood up in front of a crowd and knocked said acceptance speech out of the park. It is my hope of hopes that she wrote her own speech, but I have a funny feeling she didn't. However, when she spoke, she spoke like no other politician I've ever seen. I hail from Jersey, we had Whitman, New York to my North has Hilary Clinton. A majority of politicians I've seen yell, talk down to people, they stand out there and preach to people that will elect them. They are elaborate, long winded, make themselves seem important.

Politicians have a knack for telling us what we should believe, when we should believe in what we believe in. We are the people, the Constitution tells us clearly "We the people..." and with that governance, we are the ones who choose our officials. Whether it be from small town mayor, to County officials, all the way up to the White House (the Electoral College to be discussed later). We the people, have the ability to change what we see as wrong, or unift.

Last night Gov. Palin was a Governor, a Mom, a member of the citizenry. She even told us that she will go to Washington to "serve the people". This is what we need, someone that recognizes the fact that they are there FOR US, we are not there for them. As mentioned on my radio show a few weeks ago, if they're not doing what we elected them to do, impeach them!

I agree! Governor Palin put forth a giant first step last night, and now we as an American people have to move in the right direction...country first!
